Goodbye freedom, hello grad school!

Well, starting tomorrow I am no longer a free woman. I must dedicate my life to grad school and teaching 100 little darlings all of the ins and outs of the field of communication. Well, I lie a little...tomorrow and the rest of the week will be spent LEARNING how to teach all of my little darlings.

As I am typing this up I'm talking to a friend over IM and made the statement "productivity is highly overrated" literally just a few seconds ago. And just a few seconds ago I condemned my career in academia.

I guess that's all.

Greetings from Seattle!

Hello all! Yup, I'm finally here! One week to the day in Seattle and I finally have my luxuries of cable and internet back. I'm not gonna lie, it was really brutal without it.

Seattle is pretty wonderful. The weather has been fantastic so I've been walking around and exploring a bit. I still have yet to check out the buses going downtown but I'll get there soon enough. My apartment is also super cute and homey and I love it.

I'm a bit lonely but hopefully that will change once orientations start next week. Hopefully I'll make some friends in time for my birthdaY!!!!! If not I guess that will suck, but Ill figure it out when the time comes.

OK, I'm tired so I'm gonna continue to do nothing...well and take advantage of my cable and internet!!!! ahhh technology, gotta love it!

Tomorrow!

So I'm moving to Seattle tomorrow! It is so exciting but I'm SO scared! The first week is going to be fantastic because it will just consist of me exploring my new city and getting my new apartment all set up! After that I have to start with the workshops and learning and teaching and all that nonsense. I'm not looking forward to that so much.

I'm really going to miss New York. I'm REALLY going to miss my friends and my family.

Wish me luck! I'll be back on fairly soon, depending on when my Internet gets hooked up (if it needs to at all).
