Why are the John Basedow, "Fitness Made Simple," commercials 50 times louder than everything else on tv? It is so fucking annoying and my ears do not appreciate being assaulted by that annoying jingle at eardrum shattering volumes. Bitches need to fix that shit.

On a lighter note, I had another dance party at work on Monday. This time it was to Olivia Newton-John's "Physical." Amazing.

I just had this thought as I posted my last blog like a second ago but decided that this deserves its very own post.

Yesterday I was at work by myself and I'll admit it made me a little sad and lonely. So sad and lonely, in fact, that I texted my friend and told her that I was sad and lonely. Not 30 seconds after I sent the text Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" came on the internet radio station I listen to. Now I'm not necessarily a Springsteen fan but this shit is a classic.

So what is a normal reaction to have when this song comes on? Is it to get up and have a spontaneous dance party by yourself at work? Probably not but that is definitely what I did. I may have busted out the Courtney Cox move...may have. Don't worry, it's not like people were watching me through the window, we had a screen up :) Professionalism still in tact. NICE.

So I'm not necessarily one to really talk about my exercise habits in a public forum, but what I went through today warrants the discussion. First a little background I guess. I go to the gym 5 days a week...4 days i do 45-60 mins of cardio and 30 mins of strength training. The other day I work out with my trainer doing 60 minutes of strength training with some boxing thrown in there.

So I've been working out for a while and I know that I'm way stronger. Until I started working out with my trainer I had no idea how strong I was. He pushes me...which is great (?). He has a unique style...very quick changes, switching things up then going back and definitely pushes with the amount of weight I'm lifting or pushing or whatever.

The past two weeks I've been a little off my game...coming off of antibiotics and just adjusting to the grody ass heat and humidity. This week I was back to normal and he figured that out VERY quickly and dear lord did I pay for it.

Anyway, for the past 3 weeks he's been trying to get me to do this lower ab exercise where you basically hang by your arms and pull your legs up to your chest. Yeah. Sure guy. I've successfully avoided it for 3 weeks but today was the day. I was like ok I'll humor you (and me) and I'll try. I'm not necessary convinced I can hold my body weight plus doing all this ab nonsense but whatevs. So i get up (and this shit looks kinky - it is kinda funny) and what do you know but I do the damn thing. 5 sets of 10 reps. NICE. Made me feel good. A few years ago if you had asked if being able to do certain exercises would make me feel good about myself I would have said hell no. But I can honestly say it did. I will not, however, feel good tomorrow when I am in bed trying to figure out how I'm going to drag my ass out.

Hmmmm...any other news? Not really. I'm taping this show on the history of tattoos and I'm really excited about watching it. I have a few more in my head that I want but I suppose I should finish the one I started first...and maybe get some money together.

SCAVENGER HUNT!

So, I'm turning 25 this year. I know it probably isn't the biggest milestone birthday in the world, but nonetheless it is a nice round number and I really wanted to do something fun and unique. I've never really gone all out and celebrated my birthdays...no parties, no sweet 16, no bat mitzvah, nothing special for my 18th. I guess my only birthday "party" I've ever really had was on my 21st when I had all of my friends dress up in prom dresses and go to Hooters. Yes, that is my sense of humor. Get over it.

Anyway, I kinda really wanted to do something different and I've been tossing things around like having a tea party or something that involved getting really dressed up...but it just didn't seem good enough.

The other night I had THE BEST IDEA EVER. For my 25th birthday I'm going to do a hardcore scavenger hunt in NYC. Start at dinner, go over the hunt then split up for 3 or 4 hours and try and conquer the list then meet up at a bar. I'm so excited I've already started the list (my bday isn't until September!)...but I'm stuck at 35 items. I want to have 50 items on the list. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. I think that things that have to do with the number 25 would be really fun but I haven't thought of any clues that center around that number. I've got a lot of collection and photo clues. I would appreciate any input!

I totally want to plan scavenger hunts for every possible occassion now...maybe that can be my new hobby? ;)

SO. BORED.

So for the past week I've been so incredibly bored. I have no idea why because I've been working and whatnot, but I am just bored. I feel like now is a really good time to pick up a hobby but I don't really know what to do. I would love to start taking photos again, but I don't have a good camera and lets face it...it is like 84983754395398759387459374 degrees outside. I am WAY too poor to get a new camera now so that is going to have to wait.

It would be fun to do something artsy or crafty, but I'm really just not talented enough. I like to think I'm somewhat creative so I have a ton of ideas, but I just don't have the talent to follow through. I assure you there is nothing more frustrating that have a really cute, fun idea and not being able to do it. Grrr.

Hmmm...what else is there? Music? I used to play guitar and bass but I'm clearly to lazy to do that now. Plus I think I broke the strings on my guitar and my bass was a cheap piece of shit. All I can do to entertain myself with music is to go to youtube and watch everything I possibly can. So I really have no idea what I can do to entertain myself. I'll probably have to stick with something artsy and crafty bc I find it to be the most fun even though I can't do anything worth shit. Anyone have any ideas of fun projects I can do? Any suggestions would be great. Any suggestions of other hobbies I can take up would be awesome too!
